Ah Feeeeel Good
I can dance in front of a mirror again. And if I keep shakin my hips this much, they will fall off. I'm now at a point that a move into any new pound is exciting. Before I would worry about if I hit 3 lbs for the week, so the dietician wouldn't think I was cheating. But now it's like Heyyyy, look at that! Down a pound! As of today's weigh in, I'm less than 5 lbs from where I was when I met my boyfriend. So every pound is sooo close.

Week almost 12 report
This Friday will be 12 weeks on the plan. I hoped I would be transitioning by now, but knew my body would slow down. This week I'm only down 1.8 lbs. I also didn't exercise at all since last weigh in. Over the weekend I was the hungriest I've been in a long time. Not quite sure what that was about. I ate an ENTIRE curly fry. Felt kind of guilty about it. Got worried that I'd start binging and eat the entire carton (which would have made me none too popular with the boyfriend).
I got some new clothes this weekend: stretchy work pants in a size 14/16 and a scooter skirt in a size 16. Old Navy's clothes failed me horribly because Old Navy doesn't believe in thighs. I wonder how much of the hungriness is that I'm finally back at a size where I feel like myself. Seems weird to say, considering how overweight I still am, and even how obese I still am, but I could live like this. I can stand to see pictures of myself again. So maybe my motivation is waning. These 10 pounds I'm into now have been gained and lost more times than the others. I'm 10 lbs away from my lowest weight in the last 5 years. So motivation is going to be hard here on out.

Lost A Cousin
...not in the sad way. I have now (as of this morning's weigh in) lost almost 42 lbs. My 6 year old cousin weighs 44 lbs. I can't believe it was almost like I was carrying her around all day. I don't think I actually look one kindergartener smaller. I don't think my old clothes would fit me and a kindergartener. It just looks like so much more weight when you see a whole person at that weight. My cousin is of course, unimpressed.

Too Busy and Tired to Blog
Well, I started getting clients at work this week, and am pretty durn exhausted. My hat is off to people working long hours, stressful jobs, and especially those with kids who are working on weight loss. Not an easy thing for folks to take time to themselves.
I've been keeping at it. Fortunately, the shakes were pretty much a routine before this, so the fast food joints were not especially tempting. I have had a couple "emergency meals" of lean meat and lettuce (as permitted on the plan), so I'm feeling a little more confident about returning to foods. When they handed me the bag of grilled chicken, it smelled so good I couldn't believe the food was for me to eat!!
I've been able to keep going to meetings, albeit not necessarily my normal ones. It's starting to look like Wednesdays might be a good day for me to go. My labs look great, and the Dr. is very pleased with my progress. My goal weight for this diet is approaching (in 20 lbs), and they typically start transition within 10 lbs of goal. I am on the fence about that...but then I look at the expense of continuing longer and the difficulty of getting to meetings, and it becomes more attractive.

Survived the wedding and first real food in 9 weeks
The title sums it up. I had pretty much decided (with reservations) that I was going to eat an "emergency meal" at the wedding. That got a little off track due to feeling quite sick at the wedding.
It had been a few days of little sleep due to a bachelorette party followed by a Fourth of July bridal picnic and a late-night bouquet making session and waking up for hair and makeup 5 hours after falling asleep. I thought I'd had enough water for the day, but I must have under estimated. By the time we got to the ceremony, I'd had half of my shakes for the day (400 calories). The ceremony was at 3:00 and I planned on having a shake as soon as I got back from the 20 minute ceremony and 40 minutes alotted for pictures.
After the outdoor ceremony and standing in the sun for the receiving line, I broke into a cold sweat and started to feel dizzy. There was nowhere to sit down and no water nearby, so I leaned against the back of a pillar for a few minutes and had my boyfriend escort me to a building a few hundred yards away where there was a drinking fountain, shade, and a bench. Thank goodness I got some of that then. Pictures took an hour and 40 minutes and the bridal party was required to be there the whole time. The bride wanted some water, but there was none to be had nearby. She was mentally done with the pictures probably around the alotted 40 minutes.
So, at the reception, my boyfriend kept trying to get me to have a roll since that was the only available food aside from cookies to begin with. I agreed to go upstairs and have a shake. I was still famished and a little shaky, so I did eat some salad with just salt on it (much to the amazement of my mom). I think I had about 4 big forkfuls before I hit a dandelion leaf and that just tasted too much like lawn, so I was done with the salad eating. Then I had the smallest piece of chicken I could find. It was very very tasty and good. The boyfriend kept putting a roll on to my plate, and eventually I buttered it and gave it to him, but it came back. I ended up eating 1/4 of the roll, as well as a little white chocolate heart that was given as a favor, and a small forkful of icing. I skipped the last shake of the day.
The good news is, the scale reading is down today. Here's hoping it stays that way for tomorrow's weigh in. I figure if it's still where it was today, I don't need to tell them about the other food. I'll tell them about the chicken and the salad, though. Tomorrow I can update the ticker, too! I'll have to see if I can keep going to the group meetings after this week. It will all depend on the clients I get and their schedules.
I also felt more migrainey that night than I had in a long time. A few ibuprofen took care of it though, so not a real migraine.

Work + Diet
I'm re-posting this from my Monday message on the message boards, because I've been too tired to think about much more:
I started a new job tody, and it's the first I've been working since starting the diet. As a new hire, I'm doing a lot of shadowing, and don't feel like I can pop out for a shake when I need it, and I also have earlier work hours than I am used to (but still leaving 2 hours later than my boyfriend does, so I shouldn't complain).
I was given a 1 hour lunch break...which seems really long when all you are having is a shake. I was SO hungry by then though.
I'm now certain I won't be able to meet with my previous group. In fact, I have no clue what my schedule will be next week. It drives me nuts when I can't even plan ahead that much. The center said I can call them the day before and try to set up an individual appointment with the dietician, so I'm hoping that works out...I just wish I could actually plan ahead.
So many times today I wished I could just go through the old drive thru and order a giant cappuccino. Or have a burger. Or just do something that was familiar and comfortable on this very unfamiliar day. But instead I went to the boyfriend's, went grocery shopping with him, and bought more chicken boullion and my saviors, pickle slices.
